Our Pre-K classroom focuses on Kindergarten readiness both academically and social-emotionally.

Writing

We work on all facets of literacy, from pencil grip and letter formation to phonological awareness such as beginning and vowel sounds, rhymes, syllables, and word families. We explore the world through books- learning how to retell a story and discuss the situations our characters find themselves in.

Math and Science

We explore our early math skills using a variety of materials and manipulatives to measure, sort, weigh, and count. We learn about our surroundings through hands-on science experiments in which we study and hypothesize about the earth, solar system, human body, weather and animal life cycles, and more.

Developmental Skills

In the midst of all this learning, we love to incorporate music and movement activities, soccer, gymnastics, drama, and yoga to our daily routines.

We learn to empathize with others, grow our friendships, and be a positive part of the classroom community. We also learn about our own emotions and work on skills and tactics we can use to get our needs met by using words.

We are self-confident and ready for Kindergarten!
